What's Your Word of the Year?

Positive affirmations are so much more than simply feel good words.  They are a daily repetition, meant to uplift and encourage, whoever chooses to speak them. I believe in the power of words, which is why we hand engrave them on our charms.

I have chosen a word of the year, every year since we opened the store in 2012. The idea is, if you SPEAK IT, WRITE IT and BELIEVE IT, you will MANIFEST IT in your life.

The year I opened the store, my word was EMBRACE because I wanted to embrace the new journey that I had started.

This past year, My word was Alchemy which is the physical aspect of turning metal into gold.

Spiritually, it’s the practice of inner transformation by aligning your thoughts, feelings, and actions with your highest and most authentic self. The words encircling alchemy in the photo above are my reminders for this alignment .

Let's transform together this coming year... we rise by sharing our dreams and supporting one another as they come to fruition.

Contest runs January 2nd - 16th

Hi Joyia. My word is LISTEN. I need to listen to myself when I’m all tensed up and I say just relax Justine. I need to listen to nature on walks and not my text message ding! I need to realize I don’t always need background noise when I’m doing projects. Listening to the quiet is good for the soul.

Hi Joyia, Greetings from Fluvanna! My word for the year is PERSIST. I lost my mother last February after my parents moved to assisted living. I, along with other wonderful hired caregivers, help with his care several times a week. It’s not easy, it was not what I anticipated for my life in retirement; it’s difficult in many ways, but it is what it is, and one does the necessary. So, PERSIST is my word for the year. :-)

Forward. This has been a hard time for everyone so just remembering to look forward toward your goals & the future is important. We can’t get stuck in the now, we have to look forward to what life will bring us this year.
